Guidance to help you prepare for your consultation and understand how we work.

Prepare for a consultation

Hands organizing documents, with a metal watch, an OMEN computer and a closed foldable phone on the table. Image edited with AI using references provided by Federico Gentile.

Organizing the information about your matter helps you make the most of the first meeting. You can start with these three questions.

Request an appointment

Contact us with a brief description of your matter to arrange a consultation.

The date and terms of the appointment are agreed directly with you. Sending a message does not confirm an appointment.

What happened?
Prepare a brief account, including the people involved and any dates you consider relevant.
What is the current status of the matter?
Let us know about any communications, notices or ongoing proceedings. If you know of an upcoming date, mention it when you contact us.
What do you need to resolve?
Write down your main questions and the outcome you are seeking. You do not need to have a solution worked out in advance.

Documents to gather

Gather the information and documents that help explain your query. You do not need to have everything: together, we can identify any background information that should be added.

A brief description is enough for the first contact. We can then arrange how to share the documents.

Background information
Documents, agreements or records related to the matter. If there have been previous consultations or steps taken, include their outcomes.
Communications and supporting records
Messages, emails, letters, notices and supporting records that help establish what happened. Keep the complete files and their dates.
Dates and proceedings
A brief timeline of the main events. If proceedings are underway, indicate where they are taking place and whether you have received notice of any upcoming date or outstanding requirement.
Identifying information
Names of the people or organizations involved and details that identify the matter, such as a case, contract or claim number.
